Welcome to the Viśva Śānti Yajña,
ritual for World Peace and Harmony

VIŚVA ŚĀNTI YAJÑA signifies a Ceremony of Prayers and Offerings for Universal Peace. From the 4th to the 8th of August 2011, this ceremony will be conducted in the South of France by Śrī Tathāta, a sage of exceptionally high consciousness from Kerala, South India.
The intention of the VIŚVA ŚĀNTI YAJÑA will be to uplift human consciousness on the individual, collective and universal planes, so that our world may become one of harmony and peace. This ceremony will consist of chanting Vedic hymns, along with symbolic offering rituals.
Like the Mahayaga of 2009, the VIŚVA ŚĀNTI YAJÑA will be a momentous event having a far reaching impact on the whole world.
In addition to the rituals, special guests will be invited to two events:
On Saturday August 6th, an afternoon conference on “TOWARDS A CONSCIOUS AND HARMONIOUS HUMANITY” will feature scientists and experts working in the fields of the environment and sustainable development.
Well known speakers from France, Italy and Germany will present their research on the dangers threatening the future of the Earth. They will propose new ways to bring more harmony into human society and suggest methods of sustainable development that take into account the well-being of future generations.
Sunday August 7th: WORLD PEACE AND HARMONY DAY. Late morning, representatives of various religions and spiritual paths from France and many other countries will join together in a great solemn prayer for higher consciousness and the advent of peace and harmony on Earth.
The leader of one of the most important Japanese peace organizations, Catholic, Orthodox and Protestant French representatives, a Rabbi, the head of a large movement of Islamic Sufis in France, a European representative of Tibetan Buddhism, and representatives of Native American traditions will be present, as well as many activists working for peace and the welfare of humanity.
All the participants will be invited to join in this solemn prayer.
From 3:45 in the afternoon, several religious and spiritual dignitaries will publicly voice their peace messages for the world.
The VIŚVA ŚĀNTI YAJÑA is open to all those who want to contribute by their presence and prayers to a better world, whatever their faith or spiritual background.
